Privacy Policy

Plain-language version: we collect what you tell us so we can send you your report and follow up if you want us to. We don’t sell your data, and you can opt out of marketing messages anytime. The detailed version follows below.

1. Who we are

“Plushy” (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a vacation rental management company. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you visit tryplushy.com, request a property revenue report, schedule a walkthrough, or otherwise interact with our services.

2. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, including:

  • Contact information: first name, email address, and phone number — collected when you request a property report.
  • Property information: the property address, bedrooms, bathrooms, property type, and current ownership status — used to generate your revenue report.
  • Marketing consent records: when you opt in to receive SMS and email updates, we record the timestamp, your IP address at the moment of consent, your user agent, and the exact text of the consent disclosure you accepted. We retain these for compliance.
  • Booking information: if you schedule a walkthrough, we collect the date, time, and any notes you provide alongside your name and email through our booking provider.
  • Voice call information: if you call our inbound phone number, we collect your caller ID, the audio transcript of the call, and any details you provide to our automated voice assistant.
  • Communications: if you message us via the chat widget, email, or SMS, we retain the content and metadata of those communications.
  • Technical information:we use Cloudflare Turnstile to prevent automated abuse of our forms. This captures limited technical signals to verify you’re human.

3. How we use information

We use your information to:

  • Generate and deliver your property revenue report.
  • Schedule and conduct walkthrough calls if you request one.
  • Send you transactional messages such as report summaries, booking confirmations, and call reminders.
  • Send you marketing communications about Plushy’s services if and only if you have explicitly opted in to SMS and/or email marketing. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to a text message or clicking the unsubscribe link in an email.
  • Improve our services, including reviewing aggregated report data and call summaries to refine the product.
  • Comply with legal obligations and respond to valid legal requests.

4. Categories of service providers

We use trusted third-party service providers to operate the site and deliver our services. They process your information only on our behalf, only as needed to perform their service, and are bound by confidentiality and data-processing obligations.

These providers fall into the following categories:

  • Cloud hosting and infrastructure — to serve the website and process requests.
  • Lead and customer relationship management — to store and manage your lead record and report data.
  • Market data providers — to source the comparable rental performance data that powers your report.
  • Communication providers — to deliver email, SMS, voice calls, and chat interactions, only where consent or a legitimate purpose applies.
  • Scheduling and calendar providers — to handle walkthrough booking and calendar invitations.
  • Security and abuse prevention — to verify form submissions are from real people and to protect the site from automated misuse.
  • Address autocomplete and analytics — to validate addresses you submit and to understand aggregate site usage in non-identifying ways.

If you would like the specific list of vendors we use, email hello@tryplushy.com with the subject “Vendor list request” and we’ll provide it.

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties for their independent marketing purposes.

5. SMS messaging policy (TCPA disclosure)

When you opt in to receive SMS messages from Plushy, you agree that we may send you marketing and transactional text messages at the phone number you provided, including via automated systems. Message frequency varies. Standard message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message; reply HELP for assistance. Opting out applies only to marketing texts — we may still send service-related messages such as booking confirmations.

6. Email marketing policy (CAN-SPAM)

Marketing emails from Plushy include a clear unsubscribe link in the footer. Clicking it removes you from future marketing emails. We honor unsubscribe requests within 10 business days.

7. Your rights

You can request to access, correct, or delete the personal information we have about you. Email us at hello@tryplushy.com with the subject line “Privacy Request” and we will respond within 30 days.

California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you reside in California, you have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect about you.
  • Receive a copy of the personal information we hold.
  • Request deletion of your personal information.
  • Opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information (note: we don’t sell or share your information).
  • Be free from discrimination for exercising any of these rights.

To exercise these rights, contact us at the email above.

8. Data retention

We retain your information for as long as it’s needed to provide our services or as required by law. When you request deletion, we remove your record from our active systems within 30 days, though some information may persist in backups for a short additional period before automated rotation.

9. Cookies + tracking

We use a minimal set of first-party cookies — primarily to keep you signed in if you have access to gated content, and to support address-autocomplete and bot-prevention on our forms. We do not use third-party advertising trackers on our site. We may use Vercel Analytics to understand aggregate page traffic — this collects no personally identifiable information.

10. Children

Plushy’s services are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us so we can delete it.

11. Changes to this policy
